The Playroom
The Playroom fulfils a key part in ensuring everyone has equal access to play, allowing the charity to facilitate play at a community level.
Since its opening in 2021, The Playroom has grown in popularity and has seen people of all ages return week after week to new and existing sessions. Individuals rely on the free and accessible nature of the after school clubs, playschemes, baby and adult sessions, all of which are tailored to the different needs seen across the community. Due to the success of The Playroom, a new, larger space has recently been acquired that has allowed The TOY Project to increase the capacity of the sessions, offer a wider range of activities and have new equipment.
The Playroom offers free and inclusive play sessions for all children at 93 Junction Road, Archway. Sessions run Monday to Saturday. For more information and to book, call us on 0207 503 9590. In the last year there were 7,220 visits to our sessions.

Holiday play schemes
Our free play scheme runs in the summer holidays, at Easter and at half terms, for children aged 5 to 11. It is a calm and inclusive space where children from many different families and backgrounds come together to enjoy high quality, creative play.
More than half of the children who come have additional needs, and many find it hard to access other places to play. Every session is run by professional teachers and support staff, and it gives parents some welcome childcare relief too.
Booking opens weeks before each play scheme. Places are limited to 15 children a day, on a first come, first served basis.
Do you want to sponsor us?
It costs us £6.16 to give a child a place at a Playroom session, and there were 7,220 visits last year. Sponsorship from companies is what keeps the sessions free for local families.
